This new holiday is very dear to my heart and took some time to fully develop. ![]() ![]() The most notable activities during Bael’shanah include the placing of offerings at shrines dedicated to heroes both alive and dead, blessings and fortunes from peoples of Elunian faith, public markets featuring vendors with war-time goods, communal feasts featuring exclusively nutritious foods, fighting rings, costume contests, and the concluding Parade of Reverence. Bael’shanah can last any number of days, up to an entire week however, in recent times, the festival has been primarily limited to a single eve due to the many conflicts that have beset the night elves and the greater Alliance since the Third War. Originally this holiday was dedicated solely to the Sisters of Elune, Sentinel army and Wardens, but has since expanded to include the Green and Red Dragonflights, Hyjal Watchers and Guardians, Cenarion Circle, Alliance armies, and the Worgen of Gilneas. Summary: Encompassing the spirit of Bael’Asta, the month of reverence for the guardians of Elune’s children.ĭescription: A festival dedicated to celebrating the various factions, organizations, and peoples which have served, protected, and defended the Kaldorei people and their homelands in the past or present. It’s called…ĭate: Bael’Asta (October), or otherwise Mid Fall I wanted to alert the Night Elf community of a new holiday I recently developed and tested with the Silver Circle, intended to be a part of the Elunian Calendar! The idea is that it is like the kaldorei version of Veteran’s Day.
